OCR Nationals

OCR Nationals are a new course which is rapidly gaining popularity as schools look to replace GNVQ ICT and other courses.

The course is modular and can lead to 1, 2, 3 or 4 GCSE equivalent qualifications. The number of GCSE level qualifications gained is dependant on completion of modules adding up to 90 hours per GCSE. To help pupils attain these there are 23 different units available. All students must complete the core unit (unit 1) which is ICT Skills For Business plus optional units to make up the required amount of unit time.

Units are appearing on a regular basis.

Moderation checklists are being introduced to ensure marking is consistent.

It is not possible to add materials for all units as I have not the experience or the opportunity to teach some of the units (such as CAD/CAM) but if anyone has links or materials to add I would be happy to use them.
